I’m available for author visits including talks with Q&A, story-making games, and workshops designed for Key Stage 2 and suitable for transition into Year 7.

My first workshop explores BEGINNINGS in terms of first lines, characterisation and setting, with reference to Sunny and the Ghosts and other children’s books.

My second workshop, based on Sunny and the Wicked Lady and other books, focuses on THE MONSTER and looks at conflict, point of view and resolution.

For bookings and enquiries, please use the form on my contact page.

I just wanted to say thank you for today’s workshop. The children thoroughly enjoyed it and it was clear that you put a great deal of time and effort into the lesson. They made great progress in a short amount of time. I am also sure that they will love getting stuck into your books!

We were delighted to welcome author Alison Moore to Manor High School. Her visit enriched our students’ understanding of the skill and craft of creative writing and offered them valuable insights into the world of book writing, with a wide range of students. Her workshops were a true inspiration and we are so pleased to be able to provide our students with encounters with real life examples such as this that can inspire and motivate them.

Thank you so much for working with us, it has been an absolute honour to work with you and have little pockets of our little community influenced and impacted by you and your writing. The seeds you have sown through your school-based workshops are starting to sprout with increased interest in our local young writers’ competition.
